Friends Of Catherine And Channel Lakes

Friends of Catherine and Channel Lakes works to improve water quality and the ecosystem of Lake Catherine and Channel Lake, the northernmost lakes on the Chain O'Lakes in the Fox River watershed in northern Illinois. Its stated mission is to maintain the sanctity of the lakes, to continuously improve and maintain the lakes' ecosystem, and to run programs that enhance the overall quality of lake life. Its work includes eliminating invasive aquatic plants such as Eurasian water milfoil, reducing pollution and nutrient runoff, operating a biochar program, and implementing a lake management plan.
