Franklin Land Trust

Franklin Land Trust works with farmers and other landowners in western Massachusetts who want to protect their land from unwanted development, helping them build conservation plans that account for their financial goals, family needs, and long-term vision for the property. Founded in 1987, the trust conserves farms, fields, and forests and manages conservation areas open to the public for hiking, fishing, bird watching, and nature study. It also runs education and citizen science work, including its Lands for H.O.P.E. program and Chronolog time-lapse stations that track ecological change on protected land.
