Frankfort Audubon Society is an independent 501(c)(3) chapter of the National Audubon Society whose purpose is to connect people with nature through birding education and the conservation of wildlife habitat. Its projects include the Juniper Hill Arboretum, monarch waystations, and a local birding trail, along with a Dark Sky Frankfort committee working to reduce light pollution that affects migrating birds, nocturnal animals, and the night sky. The chapter runs field trips, programs, and a free email newsletter for the Frankfort, Kentucky area.
