Fort Worth Audubon Society

The Fort Worth Audubon Society promotes awareness, appreciation, and understanding of birds and other wildlife while preserving and protecting their natural habitat. It holds monthly general meetings from September through May, leads local birding walks and field trips year round, awards grants to conservation organizations, and maintains birding resources and hotspot guides. It works across Tarrant County and North Central Texas, whose cross timbers, prairie, and savannah habitats have produced records of more than 370 bird species, and it partners on efforts such as Lights Out, Fort Worth for migratory birds.
