Foothills Conservancy of North Carolina

Foothills Conservancy of North Carolina is a land trust based in Morganton that protects land across the foothills and Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina, and has conserved over 74,000 acres since 1995. It acquires and stewards conservation land, works with landowners on conservation easements, and partners on public access sites including Oak Hill Community Park and Forest, the Catawba Meadows mountain bike trail, and the Wilderness Gateway State Trail. Alongside conservation and stewardship it runs community engagement programs, a trails program, and volunteer opportunities.
