Fondo Del Biocorredor Amazonico Inc

The Amazon Biocorridor Fund is a conservation trust fund constituted in November 2024 to receive and manage the resources generated by Ecuador's debt conversion for nature and climate, and to channel them into the Biocorredor Amazonico Program. It expects to administer an average of 19 million dollars per year over 17 years, alongside an endowment projected to reach 135 million dollars by 2042, and describes itself as a financial mechanism built for transparency and accountability in the use of those resources. Its nine-member board includes representatives of Ecuador's government, The Nature Conservancy, an international organization, a social organization, and independent experts, and its work is focused on Ecuador's Amazon region.
