Fisheries Resource Volunteer Corps

Fisheries Resource Volunteer Corps works to protect and preserve 16 wild trout streams and rivers in the Angeles and San Bernardino National Forests through education, conservation, and stewardship. Trained volunteers patrol those waters, maintain signs, and remove invasive plants and species, illegal fire rings, environmentally harmful graffiti, and recreational dams, while assisting with ongoing fisheries and conservation projects. The group has monitored streams in the two forests since 1994 and works in partnership with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and the U.S. Forest Service.
