Fish Reef Project

Fish Reef Project is a Santa Barbara, California nonprofit working to convert bare seafloor into productive marine habitat and reduce pressure on natural reefs. It deploys engineered concrete Sea Cave units that create breeding and feeding grounds for fish, shellfish, sea turtles, marine mammals, and seabirds. Its work spans California, including a kelp reef restoration effort off Goleta, along with projects in Mexico, Africa, Bangladesh, and Papua New Guinea.
