El Paso Trans Pecos Audubon Society

The El Paso/Trans-Pecos Audubon Society is a chapter of the National Audubon Society covering all of Texas west of the Pecos River, with most members in El Paso. It concerns itself with birds, birding, wildlife, the environment, and the community, running monthly general meetings, guided birding field trips to sites such as Rio Bosque Wetlands Park and the Wakeem/Teschner Nature Preserve, and publishing an El Paso area bird checklist. The chapter also maintains the Feather Lake Wildlife Sanctuary in El Paso through regular volunteer workdays.
