Dunstable Rural Land Trust

The Dunstable Rural Land Trust was established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in August 1987, growing out of the Dunstable Civic Associates, organized in 1974 to buy land bordering Main and Fletcher Streets that had been a mink farm and later a large-scale gravel removal operation. Its mission is to preserve and protect the rural character of the Town of Dunstable, Massachusetts, by preserving the town's open spaces through purchasing parcels, accepting donations of real property, and accepting conservation restrictions that protect encumbered properties in perpetuity. It holds more than 800 acres, principally in Dunstable, plus about 50 acres in Pepperell and Groton and roughly 200 additional acres of easements.
