Cumberland Valley Preservation Society At Silver Spring

The Cumberland Valley Preservation Society at Silver Spring is dedicated to the preservation, study, teaching, and enjoyment of historical sites and buildings in central Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. Its principal project is the rescue and restoration of the Joseph Junkin House, an 18th century farmhouse threatened with demolition as the surrounding area was developed commercially. The society moved the house to a new foundation on North Locust Road in May 2023 and intends to open it as a public museum.
