Coos Watershed Association

The Coos Watershed Association has worked with the Coos watershed community in southwestern Oregon since 1994, and is one of Oregon's 90-plus watershed councils, a locally organized, voluntary, non-regulatory group. Its stated mission is to support environmental integrity and economic stability within the Coos watershed by increasing community capacity to develop, test, promote, and implement management practices in the interests of watershed health. Its work spans habitat restoration, water and stream monitoring, native plants, and community education across the 610-square-mile basin, plus the annual Mayfly Festival and the Teddy Villers Scholarship.
