The Comanche Pool Prairie Resource Foundation is a regional grazing nonprofit that provides demonstrations, education, and consultation to regenerate natural resources and support the economic growth of rural communities. It works with ranchers across roughly 7 million acres of mixed-grass and sand-sage prairie in the Red Hills of south-central Kansas and north-central Oklahoma, a region it describes as Kansas' second largest intact native prairie and habitat for declining species that need unfragmented grassland. It also funds scholarships for agriculture and environmental studies students and continuing education for landowners and professionals.
