Columbia Audubon Society is a Missouri chapter working to preserve the natural world and its ecosystems, focusing on birds and other wildlife and the earth's biological diversity, through education, environmental study, and habitat restoration and protection. It maintains three nature areas in and around Columbia and leads bird hikes and community events. Its education work includes the Band With Nature program for schoolchildren, run in partnership with local schools and the Missouri Birding Society.
