Citizens for Conservation

Citizens for Conservation is a volunteer-based nonprofit in Barrington, Illinois whose mission is saving living space for living things through protection, restoration and stewardship of land, conservation of natural resources, education, and community involvement. It owns and restores a network of local preserves including Baker's Lake Savanna, Flint Creek Savanna, Grigsby Prairie, Barrington Bog and Wagner Fen, and runs the Barrington Greenway Initiative to reconnect habitat across northeastern Illinois. Public programs include restoration workdays, native plant and tree sales, bird hikes, and youth naturalist education.
