Broward Point Preserve Inc

Broward Point Preserve is a nonprofit formed in 2021 to save natural resources, fragile environments, and ecosystems from overdevelopment, focused on the natural and historic places of Northeast Florida. Its current campaign seeks to acquire 130 acres of land and waterway at Broward Road and North Main Street in Jacksonville. The organization intends to place the property under a conservation easement and donate it to the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens, to provide forage for zoo animals, a safe release habitat for the zoo's manatee rescue program, and outdoor education for local children.
