Broad River Watershed Association is a nonprofit regional land trust, established in 1991, dedicated to the protection and management of the Broad River and its watershed in northeast Georgia. Its stated mission is to preserve the Broad River as a free-flowing river system and to support land use compatible with water quality, scenic rural character, and the preservation of sensitive natural and historic areas and wildlife habitat. It works through conservation easements, property donations, resource management strategies, and public awareness across roughly 944,000 acres spanning thirteen counties including Banks, Clarke, Elbert, Franklin, Habersham, Hart, Hall, Jackson, Lincoln, Madison, Oglethorpe, Stephens, and Wilkes.
